Steelgrip 20 Belt Fastener is a hook-style alligator lacing (mechanical belt fastener) for belts 5/32 to 3/16 inch on pulleys 3 inch or larger. Carbon Steel construction.

How Steelgrip works: A continuous one-piece fastener strip with teeth that embed lengthwise into the belt carcass and connect at the splice with a removable corrugated hinge pin. The common connecting bar distributes tension uniformly across the full belt width. Teeth are shaped to divide (not sever) the longitudinal carcass fibers, producing a vise-like hold on rubber, PVC, fabric, and light urethane belts.

Installation: Only a hammer and the included gauge pin are required. Lacing is cross-scored so installers snap it to any belt width by hand with no drilling, punching, or special tools.

Material: Carbon steel uses a low-carbon base that offers good forming characteristics for easy installation and good abrasion resistance. Magnetic and poor chemical resistance. Standard material for Steelgrip sizes 15 through 45.

Applications: Used in warehouse distribution, parcel sortation, grain elevator auxiliary conveyors, light sawmill transfer belts, and commercial laundry feeding.
