Steelgrip 27KS Belt Fastener is a hook-style alligator lacing (mechanical belt fastener) for belts 1/4 to 9/32 inch on pulleys 5 inch or larger. 316 Stainless Steel construction.

How Steelgrip works: A continuous one-piece fastener strip with teeth that embed lengthwise into the belt carcass and connect at the splice with a removable corrugated hinge pin. The common connecting bar distributes tension uniformly across the full belt width. Teeth are shaped to divide (not sever) the longitudinal carcass fibers, producing a vise-like hold on rubber, PVC, fabric, and light urethane belts.

Installation: Only a hammer and the included gauge pin are required. Lacing is cross-scored so installers snap it to any belt width by hand with no drilling, punching, or special tools.

Material: 316 stainless steel is a nickel-chrome alloy that offers excellent resistance to fatty acids, wash-down chemicals, and mechanical abrasion. Basically non-magnetic. Excellent for food processing, pharmaceutical, dairy, and sanitary environments.

Applications: Used in food processing and meat/poultry wash-down lines, dairy and beverage conveyors, pharmaceutical packaging, frozen food handling, and cleanrooms.
