Product Overview

The Z SC5820 is a 20-tube heat pipe solar collector, typically part of a kit to convert a high-pressure electric geyser into a solar water heating system. The system uses evacuated glass tubes with a vacuum insulation, allowing it to function effectively even on cloudy or cold days. The Z SC5820 is well-suited for larger geysers, specifically 200-litre units, and households with a higher demand for hot water.

Key Features

• Each tube consists of an inner and outer glass tube with a vacuum in between. A selective coating on the inner tube absorbs solar radiation and converts it into heat.
• Inside each evacuated tube is a copper heat pipe containing a small amount of liquid. The solar heat causes this liquid to vaporize and rise to the tip of the heat pipe, located in the manifold.
• The heat is transferred from the heat pipe's tip to a water-glycol mixture circulating through the manifold. This heated liquid is then pumped to your electric geyser, which acts as a storage tank
