What does it do?

Water TechniX Metal Remover is a fast-acting, ultra-concentrated formula that eliminates unwanted metals from your pool water – including copper, iron, and manganese – and helps prevent staining and scale buildup on your pool surface and equipment. It works by keeping metals in a soluble, suspended state, so they can be filtered out before they cause damage.

Perfect for newly filled or resurfaced pools, or whenever your water source contains trace metals (like bore water or town water with old plumbing).

How does the formula work?

This powerful diphosphonic acid complex chemically binds to free metal ions in your water and holds them in solution. This prevents them from oxidising and staining your pool surface or combining with calcium to form scale. It’s pH neutral, non-foaming, and won’t interfere with your other chemical treatments.

How should I apply it?

1. Test and balance water:
   Ensure pH is 7.5 or higher before treatment.

2. Dose:

   • Initial treatment: 200ml per 10,000L

   • Maintenance (every 3 months): 100ml per 10,000L
     Add directly in front of return jets while the pump is running.

3. Run your system:
   Circulate water for 6–8 hours minimum. Leave filtration running for 24 hours if possible, then backwash or clean filter.

4. Adjust pH if needed after 24 hours to return to ideal range (7.2–7.6).

⚠️ If using in ionised pools (copper/silver systems), remove or switch off the electrodes for 5–7 days.

How long does it take to work?

You’ll start seeing improvement in 6–8 hours, with full removal and metal neutralisation completed after a full 24-hour circulation cycle. For pools with existing metal stains, pair with a stain remover to lift old marks while Metal Remover handles ongoing prevention.

Can I swim after using this?

Yes, once the product is fully circulated and your water is balanced again. Always test water before swimming, especially after any chemical addition.
