Description:
First CD release by a young orchestra! All Rachmaninoff for Rachmaninoff 150th Anniversary Sergei Rachmaninoff celebrated the 150th anniversary of his birth in 2023. This CD contains the concert held on February 23 of the same year at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Rachmaninoff's birth. Rachmaninoff composed his first orchestral work, the Scherzo, and his last major work, the Symphonic Dances. The conductor is Kenjiro Sakairi, who is currently attracting the most attention, and the orchestra is the "Tacticato Orchestra," a young group of musicians in their 20s who are pioneering the future of music. The excellent technical skills of each member and the concentration with which they create music are reflected in the sound, making this the first performance by the Tacticato Orchestra to be released on CD. (*The Piano Concerto No. 2 performed at the concert is not scheduled to be recorded.
