Tim Melina Theo Bobby, the last album by Joan of Arc, an avant/post-rock unit formed in Chicago in 1996, based on emo legends Capn Jazz! The final lineup of the group and the first name of the four longest tenured members, Tim Kinsella, Melina Ausikaitis, Theo Kasounis, and Bobby Berg, have been original members since 2017 and the most recent two albums, He's Got The Whole Thing Jeremy Boyle, an electronics wunderkind who also made significant contributions to "Land Is Your Land in His Hands" & "1984", current American football player Nate Kinsella (who also mixes), former member of Todd Matti, and Tim's public and private partner, Jenny Pulse (Good Fuck), Tim's public and private partner. The album opens with Tim's trademark oddball guitar, and then, as with their recent work, the songs range from krautrock x early hip-hop tracks built around jamming to explosive rock sounds, reflecting the band's history.Melancholic and acerbic, cynical and humorous, pleasantly unpredictable and thrilling. A fitting coda to a unit that has been moving forward unceasingly for a quarter of a century.
