The 2018 Pinot Noir Reserve is remarkably fresh and spicy on the nose, with initially greenish notes intermixed with sour cherry and dark berry aromas that are even reminiscent of Cabernets. There is nice purity, precision and freshness, though. The wine is smooth and juicy on the palate, with fine, silky-textured cherry and dark berry fruit that is intermixed with very fine tannins and toasty oak aromas on the finish. This is a tart, fresh and grippy Pinot that can slowly be enjoyed today but will certainly become finer with bottle age. Not very long but a pleasant wine. Tasted in May 2020.
