The Right Sign influenza test provides quick and certain detection of influenza A & B antigens in nose and throat swab samples. The test results of this qualitative immunoassay can be read in as little as 15 minutes. If the flu viruses are positively detected, therapy or treatment can be started directly.

Test Procedure

• Take a nasal or throat swab from the patient with a sterile swab.
• Place 6 drops (approx. 400ul) of extraction solution in a reaction vial
• Place the swab in the raction vial and mix the reagents vigorously for approx. 1 minute
• Remove as much liquid as possible from the swab by pressing and rolling it against the inside of the vial
• Dispose of the swab
  
• Set the dropper cap on the reaction vial
  
• Lay the test cassette on a flat, clean working surface and place 3 drops (approx. 120ul) of the test solution in the sample opening
• Start the timer
• After 15 minutes, the test results can be read
• Results read after 20 minutes should no longer be valued as reliable
