Handkerchief of a Noblewoman, Spain, ca. 1830-1840Antique handkerchief from the early Biedermeier period. Beautifully embroidered in the four corners with a leaf and tendril motif. There is also a coat of arms like embroidery with a stylized crown. Lace decorates the handkerchief. In good condition. Discreet stains, a few small holes. Handkerchiefs of this type were made by noblemen in many hours of manual labor either for themselves or as a gift (then often to a gentleman). Dimensions: ~ 40 x 40 cm
