This particular 28-watt 1x12 combo is loaded with a stock Fane A60 speaker housed in a lightweight solid pine cabinet with a mahogany flange, giving the amp an incredibly resonant and lively feel. Clean tones are glassy, dimensional, and articulate with a softness in the attack that makes every note feel expressive, while pushing the amp reveals a woody, textured Tweed-style breakup that remains dynamic and touch-sensitive throughout the gain range.

One of the standout features of the Starwood is its highly interactive multi-voice preamp section. The Bass and Treble controls allow you to shape the amp into a variety of distinctly vintage-flavored voices, making it equally comfortable with sparkling single-coil clarity or thicker, harmonically dense humbucker tones. The push-pull bright cap on the output volume is especially useful when switching guitars, preserving top-end detail and articulation without becoming harsh or brittle.
