Browningia hertlingiana, is a unique and visually distinctive cactus species native to South America, particularly in parts of Argentina and Bolivia. It is known for its tall, tree-like growth habit and peculiar appearance.
Browningia hertlingiana is characterized by its tall, tree-like stem that can reach heights of up to 30 feet (9 meters) or more in its natural habitat. In cultivation, it typically grows to a more manageable size but can still reach several feet in height.
The stem is often gray-blue in color and has a smooth texture. It features vertical ribs with prominent, closely spaced spines that are typically golden or yellowish-brown.
In the right conditions, it may produce small, white or pale pink flowers that emerge from the top of the stem. These flowers are typically followed by the development of small, round fruits.
 Provide Browningia hertlingiana with plenty of bright, direct sunlight. It thrives in full sun conditions and requires several hours of direct sunlight each day to maintain its health and shape.
Browningia hertlingiana prefers warm temperatures and is not frost-tolerant. Protect it from freezing conditions.
