This is the most incredible and unique Edwardian double snake ring. The two coiled serpents are each crowned with three diamonds. Two rose cut diamonds for their eyes and a spectacular old mine cut diamond on each head. This ring remains in spectacular condition and its wide buttery gold band is fully hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Birmingham and the Edwardian year, 1903.
This sweetheart ring carries a romantic sentiment; the two snakes represent eternal, everlasting love, loyalty and friendship.
This ring sits flat and comfortably on the finger and weighs a heavy 7.56g. It measures 1cm at its widest point and 6mm around the very back of the band. It is currently a UK size Q 1/2 (US size 8 1/2) but it could be re-sized by your local jeweller.
Queen Victoria was an enthusiast of snake jewellery and had several pieces in her personal collection, notably her snake engagement ring from Prince Albert, which symbolised their everlasting love.
