This decaf is done through the sugarcane process. Where ethyl acetate (EA) is used in the decaffeination. EA is a natural compound from cane sugar that is found in other fruits and foods. The EA bonds to chlorogenic acids found in caffeine. The main difference between EA and SwissWater, is that EA removes 97% off caffeine, while SwissWater removes 99.9%.
