Due to the nature of the material, there may be knots, visible wood grain, and light and dark spots. 

All of our products are cut with a laser, with cutting wood with a laser one side of the sign may have some scorch marks (we would consider that the backside).  With this form of cutting the signs there may be a toasted wood smell this is normal and will dissipate over time.
