Gong 、 Bill Bruford
Description:
In 1971, Gong, led by the brilliant David Allen and his wife Jiri Smythe, signed with the emerging French label BYG and released their second album, "Camembert Electric". In 1971, the band signed with the new French label BYG and released their second album, "Camembert Electric", and their sound grew innovatively, establishing a distinctive style. The band signed with Virgin Records, the up-and-coming progressive rock record label of the time, and the success of the "Radio Gnome Invisible" trilogy catapulted the band into a more major scene. The live album of the tour that Gong did after the release of "You" is now finally available! The band was on the rise, but due to the departure of drummer Pierre Moulin and the drug problems of Rory Allan, the band recruited Bill Bruford, drummer of the recently disbanded King Crimson, as a support member for the tour. The final concert of the tour with Bill Bruford in the Norwegian capital of Oslo on December 15, 1974 was recorded and broadcast as a special program on a local FM radio station. The live performance, featuring songs from "Angel Egg" and "You" and supported by Bill Bluford, transcends Gong's previous live performances! The performance of "Solar Music Suite," a song from Steve Hillage's solo album, is especially outstanding! Two additional bonus tracks include a performance in Germany when Rory Allan was with the band. Imported domestic specs
